| Event Details: | See mounted re-enactors, such as 1840s U.S. Dragoons and Civil War cavalry, as well as Native American and African American portrayals. Visitors on Education Day, April 18, get to see a concentration of living history demonstrations presented especially for area school children. On Saturday, see a “Day in the Life” presentation in the log fort, where an 1830s garrison will carry on the daily routine of the frontier fort in its heyday. Also planned are demonstrations of soap and butter making. Also a historic weapons demonstration and military music presentation on Saturday afternoon. Free.
