Gazebo Construction Making Progress

May 1, 2008 - The gazebo under construction in downtown Fort Gibson is making good progress. Everyone involved in the construction feels confident that the project will be completed on time. Almost all of the labor used to construct the gazebo has been volunteer labor. Volunteers are welcome to help in the construction.

Urgent Care Facility Constuction Underway

May 1, 2008 - The new Urgent Care Facility being built by the Tahlequah City Hospital and developed by Lone Oak Ventures is progressing smoothly. The dirtwork is being completed and the foundation has been poured. The Urgent Care Facility will be able to serve Fort Gibson's needs for minor medical problems.

New Dentist Office to Call Fort Gibson Home

May 1, 2008 - The Walker Dental Offices being built are part of the medical services the Tahlequah Hospital Foundation is going to be offering the residents of Fort Gibson. The construction is underway next to the Urgent Care Facility being developed by Lone Oak Ventures.

Starlight Christmas Parade

September 24, 2008 - One additional note…the Starlight Christmas Parade is scheduled for Monday evening, December 1. It was decided to run an ad in the Muskogee Phoenix, as well as the Fort Gibson Times, to announce this popular parade, through downtown Fort Gibson. Additional information will follow, and also be covered at the Annual Banquet.

Annual chamber Banquet

October 23, 2008 - Don't miss this year's Annual Chamber Banquet. Thursday evening, October 23, at 6:30. It will feature a silent auction, dinner, special entertainment, and remarks from Mayor Steven Hill. We will also present the "Teachers of the Year" awards. cost is only $20 per person, payable at the door. Everyone and their guests are welcome. We will also unveil the new "Fort Gibson Christmas Decoration", that will be available for $10. Truly a collectors item. Don't miss it!
