Backyard BBQ & Chili Cook Off

Live Music, Kids Zone, Boutique & Craft Fair

Get ready to taste delicious smoked meats and enjoy festive live music during the Smokin’ the Fort BBQ and Chili Cook-Off in historic downtown Fort Gibson. This event brings in locals and professionals to showcase their barbecuing skills and compete for cash and other prizes. Take in the aroma of barbecue as groups and individuals stoke the fires and begin cooking their recipes. Purchase a taster kit and you’ll become one of the judges in the Taster’s Choice Competition. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy at this free event, including a children’s zone, beer garden and live entertainment at Smokin’ the Fort.
